Caterpillar generator sets continue to introduce new products in Tianjin plant
Caterpillar has been designing and producing generator sets since 1931 and began powering generator sets in 1939. Accumulated nearly 80 years of experience in the design, production and assembly of complete generator sets. The technology is mature and mature. It has become one of the world's leading generator manufacturers. All major components (engines, generators, and control systems) are independently designed and developed by Caterpillar and a total of more than 500,000 generator sets are used worldwide (30 MW).
In February 2017, Caterpillar (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. (founded on November 19th, 2010) began to provide marine 3500 series engines and generator sets, which became Caterpillar's second global production base for marine 3500 products. The commissioning of Caterpillar marine products at the Tianjin plant will help cater to Caterpillar's ability to serve the global shipping market. According to the First Construction Machinery Network, the Caterpillar Tianjin plant is Caterpillar's only facility in the Asia Pacific region to produce large-scale 3500 series engines and generator sets. Wang Guangsheng, 3500 Product Director of Caterpillar's Large Power System Division in the Asia-Pacific region, said, “In every aspect of the production of marine 3512 and 3516 engines and generator sets, the Tianjin plant is in accordance with Caterpillar's unified production processes and processes to ensure Reliable product quality.
