Recently, the 16th China (Beijing) International Exhibition and Technical Exchange Conference on Construction Machinery, Building Materials Machinery and Mining Machinery (BICES 2023) officially opened at the Shunyi Hall of China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. During the event, Cummins made a debut with a brand-new lineup. Additionally, on the first day of the exhibition, Cummins organized a media briefing. General Manager of Cummins' East Asia Distribution Division, Zhan Li, General Manager of Cummins' China Engine Division for Sales and Marketing, Ma Ji, General Manager of Guangxi Cummins Industrial Power Co., Ltd., Chen Ping, and Cummins' Digitalization General Manager, Hong Yun, among other relevant leaders, shared Cummins' diversified power development strategy and the achievements it has made in enabling users through digitalization.

Cummins' non-road Euro IV technology is continuously upgraded and always pays attention to the development of the Chinese market. 
As is well known, at this exhibition, Cummins focused on non-road Euro IV products and services. They not only showcased a multi-fuel engine platform that pays more attention to zero carbon, powerful and reliable high-horsepower products, but also Cummins' emission treatment system, digital intelligent products that protect the "core", as well as powerful protection for filters and lubricants. At the same time, this exhibition also awarded the Non-Road Fourth Stage Outstanding Customer Practice Award to end-users and dealer representatives.
Jian Li, the general manager of the East Asia Distribution Division of Cummins, stated that in order to provide users with a better service experience, Cummins conducts targeted customer care activities every quarter. With the support of core technologies, digital empowerment, and system collaboration, it provides comprehensive service guarantees to enhance equipment operation efficiency and create more value for customers.

When discussing why Cummins has achieved such stable growth, Ma Ji, the sales and marketing director of Cummins' China Engine Division, stated that although China and the world have experienced severe disruptions due to the pandemic in the past few years, as a global power solution provider, Cummins has been constantly exploring, innovating and developing throughout its century-long history. Taking the Chinese market as an example, Cummins has been in China for nearly 50 years, constantly exploring new fields and new projects, continuously expanding investment scale, including investment in advanced manufacturing capabilities: Xi'an Cummins Engine and Chongqing Cummins Engine new bases, as well as the construction of a new production line for Dongfeng Cummins Engine. Regarding this, Ma Ji emphasized that it is precisely because of such a strong development foundation that Cummins can achieve stable growth regardless of how the external environment changes. 
Indeed, Cummins pays particular attention to the development of the Chinese market. Against the backdrop of an increasingly intense competition in the Chinese power market, Cummins has continuously upgraded its non-road products and services in China, achieving closer collaboration with customers in research and development, manufacturing, and customer service. Similarly, in the Chinese market, Cummins has its own plans and development steps for new energy products. Chen Ping, the general manager of Guangxi Cummins Industrial Power Co., Ltd., particularly mentioned that the Cummins multi-fuel engine platform on display not only has significant cost advantages, but also its forward-looking design is bound to lead the future development trend of traditional energy power in the entire industry. 
Cummins' digital empowerment technology and services enable users to enjoy lifelong protection. 
Jian Li, the general manager of the East Asia Distribution Division of Cummins, stated that one of the significant advantages of Cummins' four-stage product and service offerings is Cummins' advanced digitalization enabling technology. Regarding digitalization, she emphasized that Cummins' digital tools can serve the entire value chain. Regarding this, Hong Yun, the general manager of Cummins' Digitalization Department, also said that the mission of digitalization is to enable every Cummins engine to enjoy the benefits of the Internet of Vehicles. 
It is known that Cummins has achieved digital system integration with major manufacturers such as Liugong, Xugong and Hyundai. By collaborating with these manufacturers, Cummins has further refined customized development for different applications, enabling advanced functions such as condition recognition and customized calibration, thereby enhancing product performance and providing benefits to end users. Another example is Cummins' digital application product - "Little Bee", which can be regarded as a representative of intelligent application for non-road equipment. By equipping engines with Little Bee accessories, simply opening the e-Liugong APP can start digital services. After a 5-minute stop at the original location, the engine calibration and upgrade can be completed. Information such as the equipment's position, working hours, and mileage can be viewed in real time. It is a convenient, time-saving, labor-saving, intelligent, and efficient "little manager".
In the field of digital services, Hong Yun, the General Manager of Cummins Digitalization, particularly emphasized that for the issues that users are most concerned about, such as: equipment fuel consumption, travel rate, and timely maintenance after a failure, Cummins can solve these problems through digital services, thereby increasing equipment availability, reducing service difficulty, and enhancing work efficiency. "We will use Cummins' digital services to, throughout the entire product lifecycle, based on the characteristics of the working conditions, actively adjust the engine performance to achieve lower fuel consumption and higher profits." 
Cummins will continue to deeply focus on the internal combustion engine field, and create suitable products and solutions for customers. 
Although new energy is the inevitable trend for the future development of power equipment, at this present stage, internal combustion engines still account for the largest share of engine products in the power market. As a leading enterprise in the world's power system, Cummins possesses cutting-edge technologies and product advantages in the field of internal combustion engines, and will continue to deepen its research and development.
In response to this, Chen Ping, the general manager of Guangxi Cummins Industrial Power Co., Ltd., stated that Cummins will continue to focus on the traditional fuel-powered market and will continuously strengthen its cooperation with major manufacturers such as Liugong, Xugong, and Zhongli Heavy Machinery. At the same time, it will also seek out new customers among other major manufacturers and continuously increase its market share. Regarding product model matching, Chen Ping mentioned that on the basis of ensuring the green energy-saving and optimal fuel economy of each Cummins engine, Guangxi Cummins will maintain its competitive edge in the fields of excavators and loaders, and continuously expand its application areas, including high machines, bulldozers, and others. Moreover, the general manager emphasized that Guangxi Cummins will rely on digitalization to continuously enhance the efficiency of enterprise operations and cost control, making the production and operation efficiency of Guangxi Cummins even higher. 
This exhibition showcased Cummins' non-road Euro IV emission solutions, adopting two main technical routes: one is the EGR + DOC + DPF technology route applicable to small and medium-sized engines, and the other is the DOC + DPF + SCR technology route applicable to larger horsepower segments of 6.7 liters and above for medium and heavy-duty platforms. Cummins' emission treatment system provides professional customized products for non-road fourth-stage equipment, mainly including diesel oxidation catalysts (DOC), diesel particulate filters (DPF), selective catalytic reduction devices (SCR), and urea injection systems (UL2.2), etc. For the vast number of construction machinery customers, Cummins will continuously improve the performance of post-treatment products to better serve them. 
Looking to the future, Cummins will leverage digital and intelligent technologies to continuously upgrade its off-road technologies and products, meeting the needs of customers, creating value for them, and facilitating the rapid growth of their businesses!
