What! A 25% tariff increase is coming! Even construction machinery won't be able to escape this fate.

It is reported that on the very first day of taking office, US President Trump claimed that the US government was discussing imposing a 25% tariff on goods imported from China starting from February 1st! 

It seems that tariffs are coming again! Trump is still going to target China!

In fact, in September last year, the US Trade Representative Office released a statement, in which it was finally determined that the US would raise tariffs on certain products made in China. Among them, a 25% tariff was imposed on Chinese-made shore-based container cranes!

So, if this round of imposing a 25% tariff does come to pass, it will inevitably affect many goods exported from China to the United States, and Chinese-made construction machinery will also suffer greatly from it. 
Additionally, one more thing has been confirmed. Starting from February 1st, the United States will impose a 25% tariff on goods imported from Canada and Mexico.
Previously, some Chinese enterprises set up factories in Mexico, where they produced construction machinery. Then, these products were transported from Mexico to the United States. 
It seems that this channel will also be affected now!
On January 22nd, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a regular press conference. 
Regarding the statement made by US President Trump that he would impose a 25% tariff on Chinese goods exported to the US as early as February 1st, 
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning stated that regarding this issue, we have repeatedly expressed China's position. We always believe that neither trade wars nor tariff wars can have a winner.
