Recently, the monthly data report for June 2024 of Iron Armored used machinery was released. We observed that the market heat index for June was 2.7, indicating a wait-and-see attitude, which was lower than the index of 4.3 in May. The market heat index dropped significantly in June, largely due to the nationwide high temperatures and heavy rains in the south. If we consider the market heat index in March after the Spring Festival as a peak, the decline in the index in June actually reflects that the overall construction machinery market has entered a slack season. Both new and used machinery transactions have shown a downward trend.
The top 10 brands in the brand popularity ranking list are Sany, Caterpillar, XCMG, Komatsu, Hitachi, Kobelco, Doosan, Liugong, Shandong Lingong and Volvo. In June 2024, the situation regarding the price index of second-hand excavators was that both the price index and the month-on-month change showed a downward trend. Moreover, the price indices and month-on-month changes of the three types of second-hand excavators (large, medium, and small) also showed a downward trend. However, relatively speaking, the decline in the price of large excavators was more significant.
In the records related to user search keywords for second-hand machines, in June, the brands of second-hand machines that were most favored by users were Sany, Caterpillar, XCMG, and Hitachi. Among them, models like Sany 75, Sany 135, Sany 215, Caterpillar 336, and Caterpillar 349 were quite popular. Additionally, users made frequent searches for wheel excavators.
